ETP / STP / ZLD Design
Independent Design for Effluent, Sewage and Zero Liquid Discharge Plants
We design ETP, STP and ZLD systems without selling equipment, so the process choice is driven by your effluent, your discharge norms and your budget rather than a vendor's catalogue.

Getting the treatment plant right the first time
Treatment plants fail when they are sized on assumptions: flows and loads that were never measured, technologies picked for the vendor's margin, or ZLD systems that cannot handle the real dissolved solids. We start from characterisation and discharge norms, then produce a design, drawings and BOQ that any qualified contractor can build to.
Coverage
Built for organizations operating in India and international markets where sustainability, carbon, and disclosure expectations need to hold up across multiple stakeholder contexts.
Scope Highlights
What We Typically Cover
Effluent characterisation review and treatability assessment
Process selection and hydraulic and mass-balance sizing for ETP, STP, WTP and ZLD
AutoCAD layouts, SolidWorks models and STAAD Pro structural coordination
Vendor-neutral BOQ, tender support and CTE/CTO documentation inputs for SPCB filings
Common Use Cases
Where This Work Fits Best
New factory or expansion
Design treatment capacity alongside the plant layout so land, utilities and approvals line up.
Failing or overloaded plant
Diagnose why an existing ETP or STP misses norms and design a practical upgrade.
Moving to zero liquid discharge
Assess ZLD feasibility, recovery rates and reject management before committing capital.
Delivery Outputs
What Clients Receive
The output is designed to be usable by leadership, sustainability teams, operations teams, and external-facing stakeholders without diluting the technical basis behind the work.
Design basis report with flows, loads and discharge norms
Process flow diagram, mass balance and equipment list
General arrangement drawings and structural coordination
BOQ, tender specifications and approval documentation inputs
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an ETP, STP and ZLD?
An ETP (effluent treatment plant) treats industrial process wastewater, an STP (sewage treatment plant) treats domestic sewage from toilets, canteens and townships, and ZLD (zero liquid discharge) goes further by recovering water and reducing the remaining reject to solids so no liquid effluent leaves the site.
Do you sell or install treatment equipment?
No. We are independent designers. We prepare the design, drawings and vendor-neutral specifications, and can help you compare contractor bids, but we earn nothing from equipment sales.
Is ZLD mandatory for my plant?
It depends on your sector, location and consent conditions. Pollution control boards have required ZLD for certain industries and regions. We review your consent and applicable norms before recommending it.
Can you help with CTE and CTO applications?
We prepare the technical inputs that State Pollution Control Board applications need, such as the design basis, process description, capacity and drawings, and work with your environmental consultant or liaison on the filing.
What information do you need to start?
Water balance and flow data, effluent test reports, production details, existing consent conditions and site layout. If flow or quality data is missing, we specify the sampling needed before design.
